Grandfather's Wisdom Interview Lapbook

Our grandparents are full of wonderful wisdom from their life experiences. The trials of hard times and the joys of the good times.

Their experiences and trials serve as wonderful lessons that can be passed on to you. They lived in a much simpler time of history than we do today, and I truly believe that they hold so many of the truths and keys to being content with our lives. As you work through this lapbook, listen � I mean REALLY listen � to the words that your grandfather says. Listen with your heart, not just your ears. You will learn more about life and the joy of living if you listen with your heart. If you hear something that interests you, ask more questions. Even if that question or topic isn�t covered in this lapbook, you can still learn from it. If you want, you can even add a 4th folder to the lapbook, and you can put all of your extra information in it. Here is a wonderful example of a grandfather�s wisdom. An American Indian grandfather was talking to his beloved grandson about his feelings:

Grandfather: "I have two wolves fighting in my heart. One wolf is the vengeful, angry, violent one. The other wolf is the loving, compassionate one." Grandson: "Which wolf will win the fight in your heart, Grandfather?" Grandfather: "The one that I feed." Author Unknown
